I think a simple relationship is extractable from the Medhurst data.
After plotting the data the relationship is H/s = 0.015 L/D + 0.121 .
This fits the Medhurst data with a correlation coefficient of .989,
which by my last calculation is better than the original data.
This means that if Co = HD in pf then
Co = s(0.15L + 0.121D) in pf
where s is the surface area of the cylinder (including top and bottom
surface areas)
L is the length and D is the diameter.
Anybody want to check their coils?
