Gavin,
You certainly got my attention. What I am most interested in is two
transformers that I scavenged from an x-ray power suppy. They were designed
to operate at 20kHz, so I presume, at the moment, that they respond in a
similar manner to audio freq. transformers. My hope is that you have
knowledge in this kind of tranny. I would like to be able to make use of them
since they seem to have a high power capability(30kV, 80ma each) in a small
package. The cores are of some kind of ferrite material, What I really need
is a circuit to drive them at this frequency and power level that won't get
fried by the TC effects. If you have any ideas in this area, I would like to
pick your brain.
Thanks,
