Gavin,
   You certainly got my attention.  What I am most interested in is two
transformers that I scavenged from an x-ray  power suppy.  They were designed
to operate at 20kHz, so I presume, at the moment, that they respond in a
similar manner to audio freq. transformers.  My hope is that you have
knowledge in this kind of tranny.  I would like to be able to make use of them
since they seem to have a high power capability(30kV, 80ma each) in a small
package.  The cores are of some kind of ferrite material,   What I really need
is a circuit to drive them at this frequency and power level that won't get
fried by the TC effects.  If you have any ideas in this area,  I would like to
pick your brain.
