Capacitor materials

Here is another site that might shed some light on those contemplating
the use of styrene in their caps:

     http://www.bibby-sterilin-dot-com/cat/azlon/intro.htm

According to this source, styrene has better chemical resistance to
"mineral oil" than polyethylene! This assessment was probably made
due to PE's tendency to soften and swell when exposed to mineral oil.
Nevertheless, styrene (PS) rates well in resistance to mineral oil.

So, can transformer oil be considered mineral oil for the purpose of
predicting PS's long term resistance? I'd like to use the 5 gal. of
Diala-AX I already have instead of buying more stuff explicitly
     labeled "mineral oil."
