Sounds like fun, just wish you weren't 450 miles
to the south!
This might sound odd, but being inside Electrum's
top electrode during operation did not seem scary
at all; rather it seemed more mesmerizing than
dangerous, almost inviting the observer to engage
in irresponsible behavior.
Myself along with several other 'riders' noticed a
strong urge to reach out and 'play' with the streamer
base, as it lazily flowed and wandered about, inches
away from the observers' hand. In the wonder of the
moment, the arc base up close seems no more dangerous
to touch than a lit match or a candle flame!
Fortunately, the arcs as viewed from the outside of
the electrode invoke a more proper degree of fear...
I'm sure you'll be scaring the pants off your visitors!
