BTW thanks for explaining some of the TLAs.. it can get hard
when they are used all the time, and there is assumed knowledge
(Three Letter Acronymn.)

I'd say this makes an assumption that is not quite true. A plasma
globe is a container that is either evacuated, *or* filled with
a partial pressure of certain gasses. An example is He, which
forms plasma streamers at 1atm.
