I have worked with H2 thyratrons in coil circuits for a couple of years now
and doubt that the H2 thyratron will exceed even a poorly designed old spark
gap in output sparking performance in a single tube system or simple
circuit. What it will do is improve the energy efficiency and spectral
purity of any system. This is not what the average coiler is after.
