Good to hear from you Fr. Tom
The big storage cap is itself a pulse discharge capacitor, and
I am hoping it will already be fully charged when the rotary
starts to fire. As it is 100 times larger than the "resonance
caps" the drawdown will be dependent on the rotary speed,
and recharge current.
Each time the gaps fire, all three caps are in series with the
primary, forming the primary resonator, and pulse charging
the small caps. At the next gap presentation, all three caps
are again in series, but the small caps are charged to the
opposite polarity -providing the energy pulse to energize the
coil.
As the caps are all nonpolar, I think the charging transients
will be identical except for polarity.
