A Tesla coil IS illegal. It is a transmitter, allbeit, a bad one, but in
the eyes of the FCC anything that transmits in the regulated range of
freqencies needs to be licensed. But, the only way you would get busted
is if you are turned in by a neighber etc. Thanks to the Republican
congress all such agencies as the FCC are having there budgets slashed,
good for us semi-legal Coilers. Anyone paranoid about black vans with
stange antanea lurking around thier neighberhood should just build a
Faraday cage.
