I've seen many references to 'Motor-start' capacitors for use as PFC's
'Motor-start' capacitors are non-polarised Aluminium electrolytic,
and are intended for low duty-cycle use, e.g. 6 'starts' per minute.
'Motor-run' capacitors which use Mylar are rated for continuous use,
a MUCH safer choice.Comments ?
