Greetings all,

Yesterday evening I was greeted with a(nother) dead disk drive.  This time
it was the disk that had /home, which contained all the list material.  I
had to restore from backups, but unfortunately, the latest backup was bad,
so I had to go back to the previous one on 8/10/97 or thereabouts.

The list has been restored to roughly that date.  To those who
unsubscribed between then and now, I apologize and will take you off the
list as soon as you let me know.
