Greetings,

I just recieved a new tape backup unit.  This means that if all the 
smoke escapes from my machine, I can be up soon.  It also means that I 
will need to install the thing.  I intend to make this as transparent as 
possible, but one never knows.  I will keep you all posted on the exact 
day of installation.

I also ordered a new OS upgrade.  It has a new kernel, and many major 
changes.  This may too cause problems.  I will let you all know the exact 
date of installation.  I expect that at the absolute worst, a downtime of 
five days.  If all goes well, none at all.  Realistically, one day.
