Steve,
Your point is taken, but wasn't Franklin a publisher as well? Poor
Richard's Almanac and other of Franklin writings have a lot of very
negative things in them regarding Franklin's fellow man. (negative, but
true) He sort of kept his youthful acerbic attitude into later life and
published many such wry and stinging commentaries. I like to think that
he was a keen observer and found many of his fellow humans sadly lacking.
Mark Twain was another such person. I love both of their slams at their
fellow man. As Clements wrote, "Only one man alone is woth anything!
Two will start and argument. Three or more will start a war!". I
personally am very positive about individuals, just not too hopeful for
large groups.
Many of us bring something to the Tesla coil building "table". Not all
can contribute to the same level or in the same area. Most, the vast
majority, just build coils, have fun, and couldn't give a hoot or holler
about what makes 'em go.
