New Web Page!

Hi everyone!

Several weeks ago in a discussion about coil photos, I mentioned a few time
exposures I'd taken. Someone asked to see them and I said "Sure I'll toss them
up on a web page and post the url in the next few days." Famous last words!!!
Naturally my scanner immediately died, and after I'd gotten a new one I started
endlessly tweaking the site until it was much more involved than originally
planned. Then my friend who is hosting it got really busy on a job, etc.
etc.....

Anyway it's finally up, and contains the following:

- Info and tech details on a small pig-powered coil I started working on this
summer. Also photos of the coil in action, power supplies, a Jacob's ladder,
and an animated GIF made from a sequence of still time exposures of the coil
slamming a grounded target (on main page).

- A section on antique arc lamps, with some I've restored. Anyone interested
in turn of the century electricity & lighting might find this interesting

- Electrical demolition. Watch while we destroy various pieces of computer
equipment with high voltage discharges! It's sure to amaze, amuse, and sicken!

This site will no doubt grow and evolve over time as I add more photos and
links. The coil lives in a tool shed at my folk's place, and I haven't had
time to visit and play with it in almost two months (they live a few hours
away). Last time I was there I managed to trip the breaker to the water pump
feeding the main house. Good thing I noticed before anyone else did! :)
Anyway, I want to get more photos eventually as the arcs slowly grow. A
magnifier is my next project after this coil is better tweaked.
