	Mosy, if not all, teletype machines use synchronous motors
(1800 RPM).  (Make that most!)  
	Mechanical teletype machines are a glut on the market, and
can probably be had for nothing or next to nothing if you look around
a bit.  Even thirty years ago I picked up motors for a couple of 
dollars each.  The older ones were probably about 1/15 horsepower,
but the newer ones look a bit smaller.  Anyhow, it's worth a try!
