I am very interested in your measurements of neon secondary
impedance as a function of frequency. One question, though. Don't
you really mean that the high-frequency impedance is CAPACITIVE?
Inductive reactance wouldn't decrease with frequency like that.
Makes a big difference in the effectiveness of pure choke decoupling,
and likewize on the possible effects of transient response in the
filter "blooeying" the transformer it is intended to protect. Please
report more. One way to check the sign of the reactance would be
to parallel the transformer with small capacitors, gradually increasing
the value and seeing which way the impedance went.
