Rod,
Golka, himself, has never made such a claim. (He never attained 50' of
arc) Next, he was not an amateur, he did this to get money. (government
grant).
His power level was on the order of 200,000 watts too!
I have talked with Golka personally, plus a number folks who were with
Golka at Wendover and in Colorado period as well. None ever saw straight
line arcs over 30-40 feet! I have video tapes and stills of the Golka
magnifier system in full tilt operation taken by a number of scources (TV
crews, visiting coilers, a Boeing aircraft engineer, etc. From my
measurements and calculations based on video still frames and photos in
my possesion, I find no spark over 35' from the Golka system.
Who put the value of the spark length accompanying the Golka photos?
