I am a new member to the Internet and the Tesla List. Your concern with
Tesla coil
safety is well taken. Note, however, that the Mfd multiplier is 10^-6 rather
than
10^-3 which gives 5 joules instead of 5000 joules for your example. I give a
similar example in my "The Tesla Coil Construction Guide" page 10-1. If you
