david, i don't know if this helps, but i found a tesla coil tweeter design at http://members.aol-dot-com/uhaumann2/plasma/eplasma.htm#bauteil this design uses a tube and a tesla coil to produce the tweeter sounds instead of a speaker. the creator may be able to help? marc
