Protecting my caps and transformer.

Ok, heres the deal i'm planning on purchassing some
15kv .01uf caps i want to maks sure i dont blow them
or my transformer when i hook them up.

for cap protection i should hook a gap up like this

 |         |
 |---)|----|

and same for the transformer. (with the trans in place
of the cap obviously) Correct?  What distanse should i
set the gaps at if my transformer is 10kv 133ma.
