although i know of no actual measurements of the magnetic field, i have
seen some slightly out of tune coils produce a corona haze that somewhat
showed the magnetic coupling from primary to secondary.
it seemed that coils with a top load sphere instead of toroid showed the
best effects.
i'd bet if you ran through the tesla web ring long enough you could find
these photos.
