RE: CD's
Bryan:
One of the "no-no"s of sealing a secondary form is to not have a hole into
the inside of the tube.
The CD has a center hole of about 1/2 inch or so.
Many approaches exist to place the toroid take off point and ground at the
other end. I use a small PVC fitting cemented to the disk. The brass lug is
fitted to this small PVC cap. My wires go to the lugs. never into the tube.
Other than the above I think it's a great use for those dumb CDs that I get
as junk mail <smile>

Hello all,
I was looking for something to cap off my secondary. It is a 4.5" od pvc pipe.
I was at the time playing with some aol cds and realized that they were the
perfect dimensions. Would there be any problems with using them? I would epoxy
a few together to get a more durable cap. Thanks for the help!
