Re: MMC Protection SGap current limit



Although I've only built smallish coils so far, so I don't have the
experience of others, I must admit that I like the idea of current limiting
on MMCs. The first MMC I built about 12 months ago self-destructed, at the
time I was of the opinion that the peak current on discharge was the
problem. The two MMCs I've built since then have included 27ohm resistors,
and I've had no problems since. The actual caps were exactly the same, and
configured in the same way.
