Digikey is supposed to get back to me early next week..... In the mean time, I
found 10kV, 1000pF axial ceramic caps (Panasonic model ECK-D4A120MDA) in
Hosfelt
Electronics (888-264-6464, or 800-524-6464) for $.99 each. The doorknobs I
found were $15 MINIMUM!! (Industrial MRO Catalog) I was unable to find a phone
number or Web site for Resonance Research.
I figure, go for the ceramics.... if they don't work too well, you're only out
$10. If your RC circuit is properly designed, ANY cap could be used (assuming
proper voltage and capacitance of cap).
