Mondo Magnifier

I'm not asking if it's possible, I'm asking if it's been done or not and 
why. Because if someone tells me it's impossible I'm going to spend way more 
free time than I have right now on it.

Has anyone ever designed and built a 4 coil system? (not counting off-axis 
tuning primary) I'm talking about a magnifier system with an Extra-extra 
coil.

If such a engineering-masochistic devise has been built, is there 
documention on it? Where? Who did it? Why? Are they out of therapy yet?
