I got to thinking about what I said about the ozone in response
to Malcolm's inptut, and I have to retract what I said and agree
with you. As I mentioned in the latter part of the letter, the TLV
of O3 is 0.5 PPM and although I'm not sure what concentrations
are required to smell it, I am sure they are quite low and are not a
real issue in the rapid oxidation process of combustible materials.
Of course if ozone were in signficant concentrations, then combus-
tion would be significantly accelerated, but I fear concentrations of
this magnitude would far exceed lethal levels for inhalation. I'm not
a firefighter who is trained in hazardous materials, that would be a
special haz-mat squad unit of the local fire dept. When we have a
suspected hazardous material spill or release, we call these guys.
