Re: Hehe, This is coo coo! Was "I give up!"

I wish this had happened to me last week. I had exactly the opposite happen.
I ran two of my small coils every day for about 1/2 hour to make sure they
would be OK for a demonstration on Saturday. I then packed them into their
carrying cases, took them to the site and set them up. Everything seemed
fine as I set them up. Fire up, and one gave virtually no output, and the
other had a very much smaller output. Fortunately with a lot of fiddling one
of them gave a reasonable output, but the other only produced half the
length sparks it had done. Today I tried them again and everything is back
to normal. I spent three or for hours checking everything, and still I can't
explain it! Caps are ok, gaps are ok, tappings are in their normal
positions. As you say, who knows?
