    There is a simple conversion from centimeters to henrys.   I will have to 
look at my old notes, but it is something like simply dividing the 
centimeters by 100 million or something like that.  It is derived from the 
classical physics formula for inductance of a long solenoid, which, when all 
the units are simplified, results in centimeters. This was then given the 
name henrys after dividing by the large number(which I cannot remember 
precisely this early in the morning).   I am sure there was some error in 
Nickola's calculations for inductance, due to the low aspect ratio, but it 
was what he had to work with in his day.
