hmmm, my first coil used a 30 degree primary. it has somewhat of a mushy 
tune point, but i attribute that to a mediocre RF ground.

why have you limited yourself to 15 amps? you could plug the spark gap motor 
into a seperate outlet. but of course you are using nst's so you would have 
to build a synchronous gap. you can still get excellent performance from an 
airblast gap too. just plug in your air compressor and fill the tank. then 
unplug and run the coil.

also you can plug in two nst's into a 220 line (make sure the primaries are 
wired in SERIES). this way you cut your amperage intake in half. the 
secondaries are still wired in parallel. that is of course if you have 
access to a 220 line. btw-you can only plug two in at a time.

also i forgot. you can get copper roof flashing for a flat primary. i have 
casually looked for this stuff, apparently it is mainly regional (like the 
north east i think). anyway, have fun!
