there are 2 effects in the tesla mechanism,

first the resonant effect, parallel in  the primary winding, serial in the
secondary winding. primary and secondary winding are coupled by the coupling
factor k= 0.7 esp..

second the lambda/4 effect ore antenna effect, the winding of the secondary
winding is an lambda/4 4 antenna, which increase the voltage of the output.
