[TCML] Re: Sync RSG

Hi Mike,

I would have thought some of the firing positions will coincide with near zero mains volts, so very little power. I know with my 200bps gap, depending on phasing just one set fire giving 100bps effective. The nonfiring set are cold. At the best position I get full/even 200bps.

Colin.

Subject: [TCML] Sync RSG

Hi All

An i missing something here, one set of flying electrodes on my sync
rotary spark gap are very cool if not cold to the touch after a run.

All the rest show signs of use and heat.

Spec - 3000RPM motor so 50RPS with 8 flying electrodes sould give me
400BPS the supply feq in the UK is 50Hz

I`m using a phase controller with +/- 30deg of movment.

Thoughts....

Cheers Mike Tucknott
