What is the BIL rating of the transformer?  That governs the SPD Vbrk
value.  In general, the SPD voltage rating should be greater then Vpk of
transformer (include overdrive) and less then BIL rating.  Keep in mind
that MOVs are for “occasional” switching transients.  If the MOV is
operating every cycle they will blow up spectacularly in rather short order.
