I have used java TC to build the last 2 coils seems like the geometry of the primary is critical. My building experience is many decades without software. The last 2 primaries do not use adjustment they are fixed one is 4 turns one is 7.5 . A change in the geometry by as little as an eight of an inch can make a big difference in the software. Primary changes to coupling,.height changes, turn spacing.. On some coils I have made the tuning was very sharp like was said loose coupling very sharp tuning when connection to primary was changed by very little. No sparks to very big ones. Coupling has effects that vary periodically just when the coupling is very high. In the normal cases greater coupling increases the output because losses are reduced. With low coupling tuning has greater effect. http://www.coe.ufrj.br/~acmq/tesla/scan.html Antonio Carlos M. de Queiroz _______________________________________________ Tesla mailing list Tesla@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://www.pupman.com/mailman/listinfo/tesla _______________________________________________ Tesla mailing list Tesla@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://www.pupman.com/mailman/listinfo/tesla
