Hi Albert,

Using a common RF ground should not be a problem. If the two coils are in close proximity, you will get significant E-field coupling, and some H-field coupling as well, even if the RF grounds are independent. A common RF ground will work best when the coils are being used 180 degrees out of phase (in bipolar mode).
