Although this welder would likely work, being a 110 volt unit, you would also need to run two of these in series to run a pole pig with a 220 volt input. The old 225 amp Lincoln arc welder or one of the old "Buzzbox" stick welders, that feed off of 220 volts, would let you process more power and would only require one unit. Also, remember that those modern cheap arc welders are generally rated for a 10% duty cycle, which means that they can only have about 10% run time vs. 90% down time when processing their max rated power without overheating.
