I have the HV generators from a very old copy machine sitting somewhere - they are small, one generates a positive voltage the other a negative voltage - I haven't looked at them in a long time but they are in the range you want, I think - but their input voltage is a lot less than 100V, it is probably 12 or 24 DC - if you are interested just email me directly and we won't bother the others on the list. I may somewhere actually also have an ion generator that is used in electronics assembly. -----Original Message----- From: Tesla [mailto:tesla-bounces@xxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Jon Danniken Sent: Saturday, January 24, 2015 6:58 PM To: Tesla Coil Mailing List Subject: Re: [TCML] High Voltage Transformer Needed On 01/24/2015 06:36 PM, Roger wrote: > I am doing some research building some negative ion generator circuits. > > I need to find a high voltage transformer that will be 100 volts in > and 8KV out. > > Any sources would be appreciated. From my understanding, you will generate the highest amount of negative ions with a high frequency/high voltage setup. While the circuitry involved can be more complicated, you save a lot on weight, and it is vastly more efficient. I would look into a flyback transformer if I was doing this.
