Nice! I made a small VTTC of the same size also some years ago, it produces nice sword-like sparks, using a russian GU50 Pentode. It even has a built in variac :-)

However I have made a small VTTC and I have used a 3.2 nF as primary
cap,,,,,i think that the result has been good:
