Hey, I just designed a Tesla coil and am quite sure everything will work fine, but before I spend the money I would appreciate it if someone would check over my parts. Well, here are the parts: 26 AWG Magnet wire 1,420 ft- $25 (1,205 turns) 4" PVC pipe 24"- $10 (22" wind height) 14" x 4" spun aluminum toroid- $120-180 1/4" x 50' copper tubing- $40 (only using 35 ft of tubing for 10 turns at 34.2uH inductance) 1/2" x 10' copper tubing- $10 (strike rail) 12KVA 60mA transformer- $200 (input= 120V 60Hz) (24x) .15uF 2KV capacitors- $150 (2 strings of 12) (25nf at 24KV) Tungsten static spark gap- $60 Total- $645 Here <http://s9.postimg.org/go98y81fz/Coil_Model.jpg> is a scale model of my planned coil plus or minus .001". Also, could someone briefly explain to me how to make a simple safety gap? Thanks, Kuba Anglin _______________________________________________ Tesla mailing list Tesla@xxxxxxxxxx http://www.pupman.com/mailman/listinfo/tesla
