Re: [TCML] loose NST posts

If it were me I'd split a nut in half with a dremel tool and either affix the halves to a vice grip pliar,or being careful to fit the threads of the halves to the outermost threads of the offending post and grip the post via the threaded nut halves. Then as the post is kept from turning just tighten up the post nut. Hope this helps Cheers Binny.

Subject: [TCML] loose NST posts

I have a 15/60 Franceformer that has many long runs 5-8 minutes on old coil. Have obtained a new one and am going to parallel it to power upgraded coil. Noticed the HV posts are loose and would like input on tightening things up before running. Have looked at various methods, heating to melt tar to completely re-potting. Am worried about integrity of loose posts. Any suggestion would sure help. Thanks and will definitely post pics of upgrade when done, this time ! Thanks to everybody at TCML. Bob Massa
