Hello Charles, Quite an interesting beast! Since I plan to wind one at about this Inductance of less power, can you tell the approximate core size (square inches or two right angle side dimensions). I have C Core and EI beefy candidates. At 5 ohms there must be some heavier gauge copper wire on that baby! I really don't know where to start other than the Inductance and a current of up to 1 amp and a 30KV hold off or so under oil. Hope you find another one of these, but what are the chances? I'll start a new thread on my inductor musing rather than hijack yours. Good luck! I'm using a Bendix choke on my dc Tesla coil, that has the following ratings, 4.8H, 5 ohms, 2 amps dc and a 17KV working voltage rating with a max of 35Kv . I'm guessing its weight at near 100 lbs or more. I've had the choke for over 20 years and was wondering if anyone might know what it's original use might have been? Are there anymore out there? tnx, Charles _______________________________________________ Tesla mailing list Tesla@xxxxxxxxxx http://www.pupman.com/mailman/listinfo/tesla _______________________________________________ Tesla mailing list Tesla@xxxxxxxxxx http://www.pupman.com/mailman/listinfo/tesla
