Dear Reverend. I understand your point on working on next to no budget, but as you are - accordng to your website - not located on a remote island with nothing but stones and sand you still might as well dig better materials an methods of using them. A good approach for using material for a RSG that lacks the neccessery strength for the job, is to make use of a metal ring on an insulating hub., so the requirements of the task are shared among two materials which are each suitable of withstanding the forces involved.
