Dear Christopher Instead of spending valuable time to build a rotary disc out of a bundle of CD`s, I would rather obtain the proven, heat resistant raw material, with the required mechanical and electrical strength and the right thickness and the raw dimension for machining the right diameter. Guaranteed less effort to obtain the functioning, perfect, safe result. I have a bunch of old CD's laying around... if I were to sand the silver coating off, and glue 3 or 4 of them together, (properly centered of course), would it be suitable as the rotor in a rotary spark gap for a low-power SG coil ??? Has anyone actually tried this? Just a thought, so no biggie if it's goofy. --- Reverend Christopher "Fuzzy" Mayeux Pastor, MSB Ministries Hattiesburg, MS http://www.msbministries.org _______________________________________________ Tesla mailing list Tesla@xxxxxxxxxx http://www.pupman.com/mailman/listinfo/tesla _______________________________________________ Tesla mailing list Tesla@xxxxxxxxxx http://www.pupman.com/mailman/listinfo/tesla
