I'm kind of feeling like a wiki would fit the site well. This would
transform the webpage from a static landing page linking to various
information to a full-blown always changing up to date information
portal. Of course it would need support from the community to really
benefit.
Mediawiki is pretty nice and easy to use and has extensions for user
photo galleries and what not.
