Re: [TCML] Photos

Very nice coil

I especially like to see pictures of big coils in people's driveways in regular residential neighborhoods. In some places, it probably scares the bebjezus out of folks. But it always generates a lot of questions.

In my neighborhood, we got no complaints. But I had a few pesky neighbors suspecting that I was trying to enact time travel or creating free energy somehow and they wanted in on it. I really had a mental debate as to whether I should disabuse them of those theories. I figured there could be some use at some point to neighbors thinking I had a time machine, only I still can't figure out what.

Meanwhile - the sight of a working coil in a neighborhood driveway validates that in our country "normal" people are industrious, creative, skillful people, and capable of making lightning at will. I wouldn't want it any other way.

Hello All,

Earlier this year I mostly finished my 8" MOT powered coil build and a
photographer friend of mind come over to shoot some photos of it. These
turned out very well and I thought I would share them here with you.

By mostly finished I mean that I am still running my async gap as I am
still working on my sync motor, but other than that it was running very
well.

It is a 8" coil,
1600 turns
42" toroid
6 MOTs
async gap

All of the credit for the photos go to James Kimble who was so kind to take
these for me.

I hope you all enjoy these as much as I do.

Best Regards,
