Jim,
Nice performing coil for only 9 KV input.
More power = more brightness.
Add transformers for greater current per pulse.
Use a breakout point so your arcs begin at one point on the toroid
instead of coming from multiple random locations.
Consider a synchronous rotary spark gap for better quenching.
