Re: [TCML] capacitors
Hi Carlos,
Yes, DC did pass on this past April. I'm surprised that you
were purchasing these from DC though, unless your definition
of "cheap" is considerably higher than that of most of us hobby
level coiling enthusiasts. I would have figured DC of asking
in the (US)$1200 to $1500/ea. range for these beuaties. Maybe
I've overestimated his charges for these? I believe he was
using 3 of these units (paralleled) in the primary circuit of his
Big Bruiser coil.

I looks like Res Research is still in business, as their website is
still active. I would imagine that General Atomics (who bought
out Maxwell) would still sell this particular cap, too, although
their retail price each for a small number run would likely equal
or exceed DC's asking price.

Subject: [TCML] capacitors
Hi,
I used to purchase caps from DC Cox for my larger coils.
They were 0.1uF 50kv part number 37553.
I understand he has passed away, but not sure if resonance research still
operating etc...
Does anyone know if I can still get these caps from them, or maybe another
cheap source.
I will most likely buy 4x if the price is right.
Thanks,
Carlos
