Re: [TCML] My x-ray machine
I remember as a child, constantly checking The Boy Electrician out of my local public library, and wishing I could afford the xray tubes, geisler tubes, etc., that he showed how to use. I did, in fact, build many of the projects in that book, including my first Tesla Coil when I was 11 years old. (I even took it to "show and tell" in elementary school.) Amazingly, I'm still alive now 56 years later. But safety is important---many of the tings that I did growing up I never told my kids about---years later I realized how dangerous they were, and how fortunate I was to be alive.
Treat people as if they were what they ought to be, and you'll help them to become what they are capable of becoming.- Goethe

1) Very casual web search will show many many such already
posted.
2) Yes, other things are dangerous: and are recognized
as such. X-Rays are subtle, slow motion dangers. It
took the entire human race 75 years to understand
the risks.
