Re: [TCML] VTTC grid/secondary coils
I was thinking about that which is why i tried switching the leads. I guess i thought that the physical direction only applied to the direction of spin on the electron and the "end" of each coil could only be in phase or 180 degrees out of phase. Is there a specific phase difference given to coils coupled together with opposite winding directions? (just adding to).

Unless I'm completely mistaken, the winding direction of one coil relative to the other coil(s) in a coupled system (like a Tesla coil) changes the polarity (or phase) of the current coming out of the coil (or the field emitted by that coil, if it's the primary powering the secondary or the secondary producing feedback).

The only variable i can see is the physical winding direction of the grid is NOW the same as the secondary. In all other setups it has been wound opposite. Is this a problem??

Checked along the secondary with a neon light. Physically flipped both grid and primary coils. Tried various tap points and slight changes in coupling values for the coils. Ive checked the frequencies with an O-scope and assuming i did that right everything is as close as it ever was. Ive taken voltage measurments all over the circuit and things seem right.
