Hello, 

The manufacturer and style of the PTs may shed some light on the subject. Why not upload some photos to Photobucket to aid us in figuring it out. 


I do know that per IEEE standards PTs must be able to handle 110% of their rated voltage. And I have seen some GE models pushed to as much as 250% their power rating. 
Can your handle this, I do not know.

Not sure how much power they can handle. They are metering PTs 
used in heavy duty utility service. These types of PTs are typically 
rated very conservatively since they only were intended to power meters. 
However they are very robust and weight a lot. The rubber Hy-Bute ones 
weigh about 110 pounds. The molded plastic ones weigh about 200 pounds 
each.
