[TCML] Re: MOT Shunts
Hey Jon, thanks for the compliments, you're very kind. I was running my 4
pack just over 30 amps. My thinking was considering the whole setup
contained 4 950 watt transformers (4 x 950= 3800) and 120v x 30 amps = 3600
watts, I should keep it below 35 amps. Also the other reason for
keeping it around 30 was the fact that I was using a 30 amp breaker on
a circuit that had only #12 wire. I know, BAD idea, but it was isolated
from the rest of the house (my pool filter outlet). I blew the breaker
quite a few times, but if I kept it under 33 amps it would run for a while.
As for my line filter, I too only have a 20 amp! It has held up so far but
it does make me nervous. So far I haven't had any problems in my house.
I was thinking of getting some more, do you think it is OK to parallel them?
I know they make bigger ones but I looking to do it on the cheap!
