[TCML] RE: RMS Voltage
Why is the need to calculate? The RMS voltage of a transformer is
USUALLY the input or output voltage stated on the rating plate -unless
indicated otherwise, e.g if the rating plate states the PEAK voltage-
but this is much less common.
I do in fact have an OBIT that has BOTH RMS and peak ratings printed
on it as follows:-
Sec: 2 x 4kV =RMS (8kV centre-tapped)
Ampl. 11kV = PEAK
as 8kV x 1.414 =11kV approx.
